ReDesign

Design is problem solving. Design is storytelling. Design embodies value. Design thinks ahead. Design stimulates the mind and body; inviting others to touch, see, hear, move. Human beings are pattern-seekers and pattern-finders as we navigate the world. Designers bring that experience to life in an intentional way. This exhibition, ReDesign, highlights the many ways in which artists utilize design principles and/or computer-aided making to call for action, bring ideas to life, build empathy, and make us aware of our being in the world.

ReDesign took place at Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri from January 11 to February 5, 2021. It was co-curated by myself and Danielle Langdon, associate professor of graphic design at Columbia College.
